The end of the play seems to be missing something. Granted we've tied up all of the loose ends i suppose... but I expected more death, either Alsemero dying by DeFlores' hand, or visa versa, though I will admit to liking the way DeFlores goes out, it seems to fit (him sacrificing himself to be with Beatrice). It just seems like it all gets wrapped up without much trouble, there's not really much heightened action for the 5th Act. Also, the Bplot is virtually glossed over, so that we never see Antonio and Franciscus again, they're just dealt with offstage, and- for the first time- Isabella and Alibius get to make an apearance at the castle.
If you're going to name a play The Changeling, and you're going to pick out a character in the Dramatis Personae (still love that word) and say "Alright, this guy is the Changling." Shouldn't it make sense? Yes we can analyze the play until doomsday and figure out a million different wyas that Beatrice is the Changling, or DeFlores, but alway I think we'll gloss over why Antonio is the changling as obivous. I feel like everyone is missing something about this play (includng me) that makes Antonio an incredibly important character, and the fact that he's the changling something that plays a part in everything.
